Stage and Theatre Cycloramas

Stage cycloramas are generally mounted at the rear of stage to give the stage a sense of depth. A cyclorama is white in colour (although sky blue or another neutral colour is occasionally used), and seamless in construction. Front or rear projection and/or colour flood lighting are often used on a cyclorama to achieve a themed or coloured effect. Cycloramas can be mounted in a number of ways; flown, track mounted or permanently fixed in position. Therefore the construction criteria will change according to venue requirements.
Traditionally bleached white “filled cloth” is used as a cyclorama fabric.
